With so many people claiming 2020 as their year, no matter what the pandemic says, we at Kayla Belle Events wanted to highlight that micro weddings can still scream GLAM!

Before staying home was out new normal, we executed this wedding for a total count of 13, included the beautiful couple, Mikisha and Dion. Their nuptials were intimate, chic, and absolutely gorgeous.

The rooftop of Kimpton Ink48 Hotel provided a stunning skyline backdrop for the ceremony and cocktail hour. It was a windy summer evening when the bride and groom exchanged vows. They professed their love and devotion to one another in front of their closest friends and family.

After the ceremony and cocktail hour, they were led down a staircase lined with floating candles into their reception room. The room was surrounded by tall glass windows that let in perfect streams of golden sunlight.

A detailed and sophisticated table was set for 13. High and low floral arrangements in shades of pink, lined a solid black estate table. The ambiance was set by tons of black floating and tapered candles with beautifully customized acrylic menus by Lisa McGainey of Paper Dreams and Keepsakes. Our black and pink palette was sexy and chic.

The cake, a simple white cake, was adorned with handmade sugar flowers that were so perfectly executed that they were mistaken for fresh roses.

The guest count was small in number but full of life, laughter and pure love in celebration of this new union. As the sun began to set, many gravitated towards the rooftop for golden-hour photos set against the breathtaking backdrop of NYC.
